Michalis Kouloumis will be teaching two violin workshops on Greek and Ottoman Music, in the festival
"Fiddlers on the move - A folk violin project".

CONCERT DATES Çiğdem Aslan
I am very proud to work with the beautiful singer and dear friend, Çiğdem Aslan, in her second album "A thousand cranes". It's been a pleasure recording the album, together with the musical director and santur player Nikos Baimpas, and the rest of the musicians; Vasilis Sarikis, Colin Somervell, Matoula Zamani, Vasilis Korakakis.
The tour concert dates for "A thousand cranes" are already announced and I look forward to perform again.

DISPLACED DREAMS
ORIGINAL MUSIC. IMPROVISATIONAL.
Entitled “Displaced Dreams", Michalis Kouloumis’ solo violin project is dedicated to all the people who struggle for freedom and dignity after being displaced from their homelands and their dreams.
Purely improvisational, the project brings together material from the Classical music of Constantinople, the laments of Epirus, Baroque Music polyphony and Michalis Kouloumis’ most recent compositions. An emotional journey through the colourful soundscapes of modal music.

NEW COLLABORATION
Lingua Franca Ensemble are very excited about their new collaboration with the contemporary circus artists from Rotterdam, TAREK & KAMI-LYNNE (TK Circus). We have already worked together in the projects "Lahtara", "19 Steps of Separation" and "Exileosis" and the result is amazing!
